Real testing can leave us with poor performance error and failure and leading to unplanned downtime. New change assurance features in Oracle Db 11g help overcome this uncertainity u can replicate ur production environment and fully stress test changes using real life production throughput. This helps to spot production problems and fine tune your systems. by comparing this before and after changes and when u are comfortable u can make the change from test to production status.

Transcript: For every IT systems change is the constant challenge. We work to adopt new technology to keep up with constant business demand and stay ahead of the competition. But the uncertainity of adopting new software hardware and OS makes us apprehensive to make change to our business systems. This is because its difficult to replicate real life work loads, to properly test real life systems before we go into production.
